Empowering Practices

Ezine for Personal Development

Empowering Practices is now a weekly ezine, mailed to subscribers, each Tuesday except one week in August and one week in Decemer. The editions are of varying lengths and approaches and only emailed to registered subscribers. You are welcome to subscribe by completing the form on this page.

While each edition varies in format and length, I often cover many or all these sections:

Concept of this Month's Empowering Practice
Here I present a few ideas that are the basis for the Empowering Practice. It is not necessary to agree with all these concepts in order to benefit from the Empowering Practice. I give you the essence of what I have in mind in case you prefer a little more information to go along with the succinct naming of the Empowering Practice.

Practice Points
This section includes one or more practical suggestions to help you to experience the current month's Empowering Practice. Many of these suggestions will be very simple. That is intentional. You are much more likely to practice if you can do it easily, simply, and as a regular part of your life. If you practice every single one of the exercises for all the Empowering Practices, you will probably be very busy! That's not necessary. It's better to find a technique that resonates for you in the moment; in another moment, use that one again or another, based on what seems to resonate the most strongly.

Examples
I describe one or more examples to help you to further understand the current month's Empowering Practice. As with the "Practice Points," the examples help you to further understand through application. I try to limit these to just a few each month.

Phrases to help you Apply this Empowering Practice
I suggest words that you can say to help to embody the principles and to experiment with the Empowering Practice. Keep in mind that it's your consciousness that chooses the words, which is the key to transformation. I use language as a tool. I love words and I encourage people to pay attention to their words as a means of focusing. It's important to understand, though, that just by finding empowering words and using them liberally does not in itself change consciousness. It's a wonderful and accessible place to start. However, it is the alignment of your consciousness with your words and actions that produces empowerment.

Other Resources to Support this Empowering Practice
My various web sites are available as resources, as well as resources created by others. In addition, in this section of each Ezine, I highlight a few resources that are especially related to the Empowering Practice in the current edition.
